HOLIDAY ITINERARY

Day One Arrival Day

Arrive at the airport and transfer to your hotel to begin your stay. Transfer time approx. 30 minutes.

Please note, the tourist tax total for 7 nights is £12.75 – amount based on 1.10 exchange rate Euro to GBP. Please note that the tax and exchange rate is subject to change before guests arrive.

 

Day Two Walking tour of Valencia

We will take a tour through the historic center and then walk along the old Turia riverbed until we reach the new symbol of the city: the City of Arts and Sciences. The guide will also provide all the necessary tips and recommendations to see and experience the incredible city of Valencia.

Day Three Walk One

Our first train trip takes us to the city of Xàtiva, with a rich history and important heritage. We will visit its historic center, the hospital, the collegiate church, and then head up to its incredible castle. We’ll visit the castle and return to town to enjoy a wonderful lunch. The walking route will be about 6 km.
After lunch, we return by train to Valencia.

Day Four Walk Two

On the fourth day, we will visit the Albufera Natural Park, an important ecosystem that combines a pine forest, the beach, a lake, and rice fields. We will take a public bus to the village of El Saler, which is located in the heart of the pine forest. From there, we will walk 7 km to the Albufera lake’s pier. There, we will board a traditional boat that will show us the lake and then take us to El Palmar, the village where paella was invented. And of course, we’ll go to a restaurant to enjoy an authentic paella. Your will return to the hotel via public bus.

Day Six Walk Three

Today is the day we head into the mountains. We’ll do a route where water is the main feature—pools, waterfalls, caves. It’s a circular 10 km route. We will also visit the town of Buñol, famous for hosting La Tomatina, the popular tomato-throwing festival held in summer.

Day Seven Free day or optional excursion to Sagunto

Enjoy a free day in resort or join the optional excursion. Sagunto was one of the most important Roman cities in the Iberian Peninsula. We will visit its center, its medieval Jewish quarter, its Roman theater, and the castle, where the center of the Roman city was located.

 

Day Eight Departure Day

Free time until you depart for the airport for your flight home.
