Looking for a memorable walking holiday in Gran Canaria?

Gran Canaria, often referred to as “the miniature continent,” is an island of remarkable diversity, offering a unique blend of landscapes, cultures, and experiences. Its varied topography, which ranges from towering mountain peaks and volcanic craters to lush valleys and expansive sandy beaches, creates a captivating contrast across the island. With microclimates that shift dramatically from region to region, Gran Canaria’s natural beauty is ever-changing and teeming with life. Despite its modest size – just 30 miles in diameter – the island is a true natural wonder, with nearly half of it designated as a UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve. This designation highlights its exceptional ecological significance, protecting its unique habitats, which include deep gorges, rich forests, and striking rock formations. In addition to its rich biodiversity, the island is home to a variety of caves, making it an explorer’s dream. From rugged terrains to serene beaches, Gran Canaria offers endless opportunities for outdoor adventures.

The heart of your holiday will be spent in Las Palmas, the capital city nestled on the northern coast of the island. Whether exploring the volcanic terrain, strolling along golden beaches, or immersing yourself in the island’s cultural heritage, these walks will give you an unforgettable insight into the island’s captivating spirit.
